dc.description.abstract | An Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system is mainly composed of two processing modules, that is, license plate detection and license plate recognition. Among them, the task license plate detection is considered as the most crucial stage because a high accuracy and real time segmentation and recognition can be performed only if the license plates are correctly localized.
