Implementation of zigbee sensor network for automation building
Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to design a safety ZigBee WSN for home automation system which can be applied in the International University (IU) building. We design different kinds of nodes for home automation: humidity sensor nodes to measure the temperature and the humidity; magnetic sensor nodes, PIR nodes, gas and smoke sensor nodes for monitoring the security status of each room in the building; light switch nodes and power-plugging nodes for controlling different kinds of equipment in the building; electric usage nodes for checking electric usage status when there is no one in the room. The system can be controlled and monitored through Visual Basic software or a remote control panel. We also study ZigBee stack protocol to develop and set up the sensor network with cluster tree topology in IU building, and ensure that it could run smoothly
and reliably.
