dc.description.abstract | National Instrument LABVIEW graphical programming has revolutionized the development of testing, measurement, and control applications. Regardless of experience, engineers and scientists can rapidly and cost-effectively interface with measurement and control hardware, analyze data, share results, and distribute systems.
The purpose of this thesis is to develop virtual instruments for supporting classes
Principle of EE 1 and Digital Logic Design using Labview. By using virtual instrument,
we can reduce large money from spending to buy the instrument in laboratory. In addition, it also reduces serious problems while experimenting from misuse and lack of understanding of the functionalities of the instrument. In the laboratory, virtual instrument such as Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscope can be used as the real instrument. With Labview software and data acquisition (DAQ) USB-6009, virtual instrument can measure the analog signal, analyze the data and display results in Labview. After all, the results of measurement will be compared with the results in theory to determine the accuracy and tolerance of the virtual instrument.
The final product could be used by the students or professors in the laboratory at the university. On the hand, this product can be also be used in laboratory of other universities or high schools, which do not have expensive testing and measuring
equipment due to financial difficulty. | en_US |
