dc.description.abstract | Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have been attracting increasing interests
for developing a new generation of embedded systems with great potential for many applications such as surveillance, environment monitoring, emergency medical response and home automation, motivation object etc. Data Gathering System (DGS)
is one of the most used applications in Wireless Sensor Networks. In Data Gathering System network, it includes low-power and low-cost wireless devices sent data automatically to the Information Collecting Center through a mobile agent or a wireless ad-hoc network.
In this thesis work, Data Gathering Applications in WSNs are studied. Studying about WSN protocol for Data Gathering System and implementing a small Data Gathering System for Electricity Meter Reading by using IEEE 802.15.4 standard and Zigbee specification devices are the main works of this thesis. The hardware demo of DGS with one gateway and some wireless terminal nodes is also planned in this thesis work. | en_US |
