dc.description.abstract | With the recent advance in technology, the development of ECG Wireless module for remote monitoring of cardiac activity is one of the most important fields in telemedicine, which could reduce cost and improve the efficiency of treatment. This thesis presents the design, implementation, and evaluation of a pro totype ECG system which replaces wired connections between remote points and central node with wireless links. The design is to produce an ECG module for remote healthcare application.
An integrated circuit board has been constructed to achieve the overall goal. The remote device is attached to the person being monitored. The device acquires the raw ECG signal from the leads, which are placed in predefined position
of the body. The amplifiers and filters which are the requirement for ECG frequency band selection and noise removing are presented in the mobile unit. Measurement data will be transmitted wirelessly to computer using global Wi-Fi standard which is one of the most common mediums for communication.
A friendly user graphical interface (GUI) was constructed using LabView-
2010 software to display the receiving data from the remote modules. The testing experiments of ECG Wireless Sensor will be carried out on the human body and compared with the literature results and real equipment. The report provides a theoretical section on the 3-Lead ECG as well as how the heart generates the ECG
signal. | en_US |
