Implementing a Netconf client-side application using NCClient library
Abstract
The NETCONF protocol provides a mechanism for configuring network devices. While several network device vendors supported or plan to support the NETCONF protocol, there are lacks of support for clients to configure multiple devices. This thesis provides an overview of and a study of NETCONF implementations supported by real systems and simulative platforms. The thesis contains the design and implementation of multiple devices configuration using NCClient library, which is a powerful tool for developing NETCONF client applications. The result and performance evaluation are also presented.
Key words: configuration management, NETCONF, python, NCClient.
