dc.description.abstract | In medical field, diagnosis of diseases based on X-Ray films, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound imaging, and computed topography (CT) images data has been dominated for years. Most of doctors and physician have been using the traditional and familiar method of using 2D medical images to inspect and carry out operations. Nevertheless, it seems to be uneasy for surgeons to have an exact patient diagnosis with less personal experience because they have to create 3D operations scenes in their imagination. It becomes more challenging when human organs have very complex structure to inspect so it depends much more on human eyes and hands in operations. Therefore, the necessity of visualization and interaction
of 2D images is a great help for diagnosis, therapy, surgery in the future. For solving this problem, we have given a methodology to overcome the issue by using volume
rendering techniques and it is implemented by Java Open JOGL. | en_US |
