Taxonomy-based forum in student recommendation system using portal technology

Abstract

Nowadays, the evolution of the Internet brings with it the extremely large

amount of information, makes the internet become a place people use to get all the information they want. However, the overflow of the information has some disadvantages which make it impossible for users to retrieve the data that they want. Understand the problem of the information classification, and the difficulties in navigator of many forums, I’ll construct a forum that could fulfill those problems. In this thesis, I’ll discuss the process of building taxonomy - based forum, which organizes the content bases on relations between stories, posts of user. In addition, the forum also provides a powerful suggesting function which help user in classifying their information. The result of this thesis comes up with a product that resolves above problems.
