dc.description.abstractTechnology has been growing fast in recent years. However, implementations have mostly been in areas where profits are produced such as product manufacturing and retailing. Medical laboratory, the place where tests are taken on specimens to infer a patient's health condition, is one of the cases where a modern system can be implemented but often ignored in favor of the more traditional approach of Word and Excel. The COVID-19 pandemic came with an enormous amount of workload for these labs’ technicians. Unsurprisingly, the traditional office’s tools failed to meet the required efficiency which led to the long response time for test results. This thesis tries to implement a modern, efficient and maintainable system supporting the management of a medical laboratory. It is meant to be officially implemented in laboratories that are part of HCMC Center for Disease Control.en_US
