Development Of Mobile Platform For Mental Health Tele-Consultation.
Abstract
Psychological Consultation application is rapidly emerging as a vital resource for
extending psychological and spiritual support to individuals. Amidst Vietnam's current
landscape, characterized by a dual disease model encompassing both infectious and noncommunicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, COPD, and mental illnesses, the
need for effective mental health support is increasingly evident. Moreover, Vietnam
grapples with the profound impacts of population aging, a high disability rate, and the
repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, accentuating the urgency for accessible mental
health services. Regrettably, mental health remains an overlooked facet within public
health, warranting greater attention and resources.
A specific consultation application was meticulously crafted to address this gap utilizing
innovative UX/UI design methodologies and data-driven platforms. This application boasts
various features tailored to enhance user experience, including doctor appointment
scheduling, seamless online consultation capabilities, and curated podcast and news
recommendations. Subsequently, an empirical study was conducted to rigorously evaluate
the application's efficacy, involving active participation from a cohort of potential users.
Encouragingly, feedback from users underscored a high level of satisfaction with the
application's intuitive interface and comprehensive functionality, signaling its potential to
meet the diverse needs of individuals seeking psychological support.
This study contributes significantly to the burgeoning field of psychological counseling
app development by presenting a robust design model and substantiating the effectiveness
of psychological counseling as a pivotal support tool. By demonstrating tangible benefits
and user satisfaction, this research advocates integrating such applications into mental
health care frameworks. Furthermore, it catalyzes future exploration and innovation in the
development of similar applications, promising enhanced accessibility, and efficacy in
psychological support services for individuals across diverse contexts.
