dc.description.abstract | Nowadays, smart cards are used in information technologies as portable integrated devices with data storage and data processing capabilities. There are many applications about smart card such as credit card, identify card, driving license, security key... As in other fields, using smart card in health systems becomes more and more popular due to their increased capacity and performance. Their efficiency is used with easy and fast data access facilities that lead to implementation particularly widespread in security systems. The system uses smart card for personal identification and transfer of health data to build hospital management system
In my thesis, I must achieve three main goals:
(1) Implementing card reader using ATmega128 and RS232. The hardware is designed by Orcad software and the enclosed firmware is programed by AVR Studio 4.
(2) Building hospital management software to control smart card ACOS2 and manage patient‟s information. The software is programed by Microsoft Visual Basic.
(3) Particularly, storing a color image into smart card and then loading it from
