The research is conducted to explore the relationship between job satisfaction and the commitment to organization of 292 tour guides in Ho Chi Minh City. It also investigates the effect of six factors (relationship with management, career development, compensation and benefits, working environment, job safety and security, and skill training) and employee job satisfaction on organizational commitment. Only quantitative approach is applied because of the budget and time constraints. The method of data collection is self-administered survey composed of some questions to get data from tour guides. According to the results from exploratory factor analysis, multiple regressions, and path analysis, it could be concluded that employee job satisfaction is the most important factor that influences organizational commitment of tour guides who are working in Ho Chi Minh City, followed by career development, relationship with management, and working environment. Working conditions excluded from seven variables affecting employee job satisfaction and organizational commitment could be explained that tour guides are not commonly available at workplace due to their job of guiding visitors to various places; thus, they do not care much about working conditions. In conclusion, tour guides are willing to work if they feel satisfied with their current job. Moreover, if tour guides have more opportunities of career development, better relationship with management, and working environment meets their expectation, they intend to stay and exert their effort for the company in long time.en_US
