dc.description.abstractThe study “Evaluating the contribution of e-Learning on student learning - The case of Business Administration major students in International University, HoChiMinh city” was conducted to evaluate and investigate impact of e-Learning on student‟s learning, especially, six students of Business Administration major in International University, Vietnam. This study concentrated on three factors to research: E-Learning practices, advantages and disadvantages of e-Leaning, and student‟s acceptance to e-Learning. The education is important element in development country, so it should be concerned mostly. Moreover, today, technology is growing, foreign universities applied e-Learning significantly in education. Therefore, it is necessary making this research to improve quality of education in Vietnam. In order to get this study‟s objective, from February 2014 to May 2014, the research has been conducted in International University, Ho Chi Minh City. The research methods consisted of a wide review of relevant literatures and other sources of data to identify definition and categories of e-Learning, e-Learning practices, its advantages and disadvantages as well as student‟s acceptance to e-Learning. The latter is based on indept interviews of six students of International University, Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, by interviewing face-to-face with students. The findings from this research show that foreign universities have applied various e-Learning styles while Vietnam is still poor in e-Learning application; that eLearning brings many benefits and dawbacks to students in International University, Vietnam; that those student‟s acceptance to e-Learning depend on previous experience of computers, technology acceptance and individual learning styles. It is presented clearly in Findings and Discussion Chapter. This study offers such approach to reinforcing and maintaining positive impact of e-Learning as well as limiting and unlearning negative impact by recommenting to student and teachers, trainers, education organizations.en_US
