Determinants of performance of commercial banks in Vietnam
Abstract
The objective of this paper is to determine the factors that affect the
performance of commercial banks in Vietnam from 2008 to 2013. Our research applied
unbalance panel data regression to estimate for determinants. The performance is
measured by the profitability, which is Return on Average Assets. Our independent
variables are Capital Adequacy, Credit Risk, Bank Size, Management Efficiency, Noninterest Income, Market Concentration, Inflation, and Refinancing Rate. The result
presents that ROAA is impacted by the Capital Adequacy, Credit Risk, Non-interest
income, Management efficiency, Market concentration, Inflation, and Refinancing rate.
