Environment efficiency of utilization of alternative fuel resources in cement manufacturing plant
Abstract
This ultimate purpose of this paper to explore the Alternative Fuel Resources (AFR)
Business effectiveness on three main aspects in Triple Bottom Line, including:
Economic, Environment and Social, especially in Vietnam. The triple bottom line is
the integration of sustainable economic development, environmental stewardship and
social responsibility. Furthermore, construction has been growing substantially over
10 years in emerging market due to cut down boycott and restrictions. This has given
great opportunities for cement manufacturers. Cement manufacturing, however, uses
a significant amount of energy and raw materials and release in production a large
amount of CO2. As the consequence, this has had vital impact on environment. This
is the root of explanation why Holcim committed itself to Sustainable Development.
This study evaluated the influences of AFR business on interviewees’ perspective,
supported by Holcim Vietnam Ltd. by using mixed-method approaches, including
surveys, interviews and review reports at sites. I would distribute paper survey to
gather information how people acknowledge this business effectiveness. In addition, I
attempt to make interview with project staff to figure out the potential and efficient
results of this business.
