The factors affecting the employee performance : In case of Afiex seafood industry - An Giang province
Abstract
Employees‟ performance is the most important aspect to develop the company. A high
performance can create the high productivity and efficiency for the company goal
whereas the low performance can fail the company‟s expectation.
The main purpose of this dissertation is to identify the essential factors putting impact on
the performance of employees at AFIEX Seafood Industry. Moreover, giving some
comments and suggestions helps the company improves their performance and
productivity. Based on Herzberg‟s Two Factor Theory and some previous studies, the
researcher considers and adjusts some aspects suitable for the currently situation of
AFIEX Seafood Industry.
The quantitative approach is applied via a questionnaire survey. The pilot testing is used
to explore the mistake, weakness, and check out the sensibility of the questionnaire. The
sample size of this research is 153 employees in AFIEX Seafood Industry. The
respondents are captured with the questionnaire distributed randomly at different
departments including workers, officers, associates, and executive officers. The data is
analyzed by SPSS program version 21 via descriptive analysis, reliability analysis,
exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis.
After analyzing, the result of this dissertation shows that among seven factors (Growth
and Advancement; Work Itself; Recognition; Supervisor; Salary; Fringe Benefit, Reward;
Working Environment; and Company Policy) which are conducted, there are only three
factors (Working Environment; Supervisor; and Growth and Advancement) which really
influence on the performance of employees at AFIEX Seafood Industry. With this result,
the Company should adjust some decisions and strategies to match the employees‟
requirements, which improve the company‟s outcome.
