| dc.description.abstract | Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in developing countries where people have
more opportunities for implementing new business ideas. Particularly, this perspective
has a tendency to be more attractive to the fresh graduate students who are aggressive in
business creation as their objective. This research figures out the effects of personality
traits and contextual factors on the entrepreneurship intention of university students. Data
were gathered by a questionnaire from a sample of 345 respondents in six different
member universities of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). By
using a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach to test our hypotheses, we find
some interesting results that there are high significant relationships among personality
traits, attitude towards entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship intention. Besides, by
multi-group analysis method, diverse backgrounds of respondents, such as role models,
and work experience, significantly influence the other relationships such as between
contextual factors and entrepreneurship intention. Taking into account the discoveries,
the implications are propounded to the educators for further studies of entrepreneurship
intention in Vietnam.
