This research was conducted in order to investigate and analyze the determinants of Vietnam’s export growth for the period 1986-2014. The data used was obtained through the Vietnam Bureau of Statistics and World Bank Data. The factors influence the export performance of Vietnam are defined and built in a regression model. The results showed that Vietnam’s export performance has positive relationship with foreign direct investment, gross domestic product and real effective exchange rate. Besides that, foreign direct investment also has the effect on Vietnam’s export, but it is insignificant. From the result of this research, these factors have contributed to explain the success in exports of Vietnam over the past few years.en_US
