Proposing an effective management methodology for R & D projects: A case study for analyzing the project RISC SG - 8V1 ICDREC- IT PARK - VNU
Abstract
In the field of high technology, the critical factor to keeping competitive is
product innovation supported by a high level of commitment to research and
development (R&D). But R&D projects are considered as the cost center with lots
of uncertainties and risk of failures. The aim of this thesis is to gain a better
understanding about the nature of R&D project and problems arising in R&D
project management so as to suggest an effective framework to gain success. Our
research explores, describes and tries to explain the nature and problem of R&D
project management. We have conducted the case study with the ongoing project
RISC SG-8V1 of ICDREC- IT Park - VNU and data was primarily collected
through personal interviews, observation and project database.
