The influence of website design quality in website satisfication on the youth on shopee.vn
Abstract
Nowadays, Online shopping has became familiar way for buying things among young people. And the online - store websites are where we will visit when we think about online shopping. Thus, the websites’ design has been revealed as a key factor for the success of online transactions. The online product presentation is a challenge for shop owners and website designers, since they have to present the products to satisfy the consumers’ needs. This study analyses the effects of different visual representations of the product on consumer’ satisfaction with the website and online purchase intention at Shopee.vn.
Ho Chi Minh City is one of the leading cities in Vietnam with dynamic and diversity social sectors. In which, the youth account for a fairly large proportion. Their demand for shopping services is recently very high because of the development in lifestyle and living standard. The rate of population using online shopping service in Ho Chi Minh City is increasing rapidly day by day.
An experiment was carried out in which website design quality was manipulated by means of its size, quality, diversity and reliability. The results of the analyses allow us to stress the importance of the online product presentation for affecting consumers’ purchasing intentions. I hope the results can offer valuable insights for marketers and designers at Shopee.vn to improve its visual performances as well as foreign brands when they conduct their plan in using online shopping method to enter into Vietnam market, especially at Ho Chi Minh City.
