Student satisfaction towards school food service - A case of Bui Thi Xuan school, Ho Chi Minh city
Abstract
This study is conducted to identify which factors that affect to student satisfaction about food service at Bui Thi Xuan High School, Ho Chi Minh city. 252 surveys were delivered and collected directly at BTX high school within 3 days. The data was analysis using SmartPLS ver 3.0. The outcomes showed different effects of those independent variables on mediator and dependent variables both direct and indirect. Customer Satisfaction is predicted by Perceived Value, Service Quality, Food Quality, Facility, Price Fairness and Convenience. Facility was found to have both direct and indirect effects on satisfaction. Meanwhile, Service Quality only performed direct impact and Food Quality, Price Fairness and Convenience indirectly influenced Customer Satisfaction through the mediation of Perceived Value.
Following the outcomes, managerial and academic recommendations had been given for the canteen manager to obtain higher level of customer satisfaction, and for further research as well.
