dc.description.abstractThis research aims to study reasons why white-collar workers within services and trading sector decide to stay or leave their organizations. Voluntary turnover has never fallen out of top considerable issues about business and human resources, especially in Ho Chi Minh City, one of the most important economic central-point areas of developing nation named Vietnam. As trading and services occupy a major portion of Vietnam ‘s economic wealth and development, understanding employees’ inner values, behaviors and assessment toward their turnover intention helps employers have appropriate policy improving human resources management performance. A framework of the 8 forces of attachment and withdrawal including affective, calculative, alternative, behavioral, constituent, contractual, normative, and moral forces (Maertz & Griffeth, 2004) are applied for researching distinct motives comprehensively. The survey will be delivered throughout services and trading sectors, which plays a very important role in Vietnam economy. And as labor market is suffering high turnover rate higher than before, this study promises a significant contribution by suggest practical implication for not only employers but also employees, and further human resources management research.
