dc.description.abstractThe research is about individual attitude toward risk tolerance, behavior factor and investment performance: a case in Vietnam. Despite experiments have precision when showing attitude toward risk but implementing this is costly . That is the reason why, survey items about risk tolerance are an appealing alternative, even providing information as they can be analyze in popular surveys. The relationship between dependent and independent variables covering (1) Risk Tolerance (2) Herding (3) Prospect Theory (4) Investment Performance were mentioned in literature review and results. The thesis clearly identifies the attitude of individual who are investor regarding their risk tolerance and invest effects. Moreover, other variables including are buying and selling decision, volume of investment of other investor in herding factor; regret aversion and loss aversion variables of prospect factor are also influence on investment performance. Beside that, the research also find that risk tolerance have both direct and indirect influence on investment performance. To start, the research following many theories of the previous study in the world but not much in Vietnam to provides an analysis about general hypothesis. Beside that, this study conduct a survey with 252 participants use a quantitative to measure the relationship variables which are independent and dependent variables. The findings we take from this survey is that there is a positive relationship between risk tolerance, herding variables, prospect theory and investment performance in spite of some of them were not greatly effective. In addition, the paper research providing some point of view by identifying other results taking from data collected and that have been checked in the conclusion.en_US
