Factors affecting the intention of white-collar employees to use e-wallet - Case in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam
Abstract
In this 4.0 era, technology is everywhere and innovation is a must for this “movement and development” life. Lately in Vietnam, there‟s a booming of E-Wallet - cashless payment - in which it‟s doubling in value as compared to Q1‟2018. A million dollars question appeared, why it‟s booming, why people start using it now, what makes them want to use it, etc. Because of that, this research was conducted in order to know which factors affect the intention of using E-Wallet. However, this study only applied to white-collar employees in Ho Chi Minh city, Viet Nam.
Months researching passed by, 265 valid responses were collected. These data were then analyzed by SPSS and PLS-SEM. After being analyzed, all the factors which influence Behavioral Intention were valid which were Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Trust, Subjective Norms and Attitude towards using E-Wallet. Through this study, it proved that Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Trust had the strongest relationship with Attitude and Intention among other variables. Since there were some limitations, further research was suggested to apply different sampling method and adding other “potential” variables to gradually perfect the model and find out interesting findings which can contribute to the society.
