Thanks to more than 3000 kilometers of coastline, it cannot be deniable about the vast development of tourim in Vietnam. It was estimated that the tourim revenue increased three times compared from 2010 to 2018 from around 5 million to 15 million (Das, 2019). This statistics illustarted the growth of tourim in Vietnam and highlighted the contribution of tourism to the whole country in general. One of the most essential factors of tourism is human resource, which directly determines the guests’ experience. Therefore, the research was conducted to identify the connection among job characteristics and employee job satisfaction. It is supposed that positive feedback, task identity, task significance and role autonomy have positive correlation with employee job satisfaction while negative feedback and role ambiguity negatively affect job satisfaction. Quantitative approach was applied with the questionnaire distributed to nearly 250 respondents mostly in Ho Chi Minh, Danang, Phu Quoc and Nha Trang. In detail, feedback, skill variety, task identity, task significance, autonomy and role ambiguity related to job satisfaction were analyzed in order to give out further recommendations for hospitality industry. Regardless of the insignificance of role ambiguity on job satisfaction, the results of the research imply the significant impact of feedback, task identity and the negligible relationship of task significance with job satisfaction and explained 48.2% in the variance of job satisfaction. Recommendations were given for management level to improve employee job satisfaction. Besides, the research also suggested managers avoid using negative feedback or should use in appropriate contexts. Consequently, they are able to ensure employee job satisfaction, which is the dominant factor of the entire organizaion success in hospitality industry.en_US
