Impact of financial information on stock price of energy firm listed in Vietnam's stock market
Abstract
Vietnam is a developing country, so companies are more volatile. As a result, investors have many opportunities to earn profits, but they have to get high risks. The energy industry is one of the industries with great potential for development. Therefore, the purpose of this study to make an analysis of the share prices of energy companies based on published financial information and give some useful suggestions. The study took data from 60 companies from 2008 to 2019 listed on HOSE and HNX. EPS, DR, CR, BVPS, firm size, and ARR are the variables used in this study. Data panels and regression tables Pooled OLS, FEM, REM are used to give the most appropriate results. The results of the study found that ARR, firm size, EPS, BVPS and stock prices have positive relationships. Besides, the DR has a negative relationship with the stock prices. But the study did not find a relationship between CR and stock prices. The explanatory level of the variables on the stock price is about 41.2%.
