The Effect Of Covid-19 On Intention To Travel During The Pandemic. The Case In Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam)
Abstract
In view of the prolonged situation of the Covid-19 epidemic worldwide, leaving many severe
consequences for the economy, including the tourism industry, this study was created with the
scope of Ho Chi Minh City, The city has the highest tourism density in Vietnam and is also the
place that has suffered the most severe consequences of the Covid-19 epidemic. This research
applies the Theory of Planned Behavior to study the factors affecting the intention to travel
during the Covid-19 epidemic and study the impact of knowledge, perceived risk and social
concern on the traveling intention during the Covid-19 enpidemic. The research model will be
examined using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with a sample of 350 and hopes to
contribute to the design of restorative activities in tourism along with adapting the new era of
post-COVID-19.
