We investigated whether job satisfaction mediates the relationships between working hours, occupational stress, and job performance in this study. Furthermore, we investigated whether working hours could help to mitigate the impacts of occupational stress on job satisfaction. 475 respondents from the hotel business were given questionnaires. After that, the data was analyzed. The study found substantial associations between long working hours and occupational stress, as well as between occupational stress and job satisfaction, as well as a hidden link between working hours and job satisfaction via occupational stress. Furthermore, there was a substantial beneficial association between job satisfaction and job performance and occupational stress. The findings emphasize the need to allow workers more control over their working hours. As a result, we urge that labor regulations be updated as needed to minimize excessive working hours and improve work-time flexibility.en_US
