Factors influencing the university selection of international students in Vietnam : How can IU correspond with those factors?
Abstract
Annually there is increasing number of students pursuing their degrees in universities located in countries different than their own. From international education, they wanted new ways of viewing the world, new habits of thinking and new skills and approaches. universities to acquire quality applicants with high educational aspirations. In order to successfully compete with other schools, IU needs to understand and correspond
to the driving factors which motivate the choice of its international students. Previous research by Agarwal and Winkler (1985), Lee and Tan (1984), Mazzarol and Soutar (2002), and McMahon (1992) has identified a number of factors that influence the choice
of educational programs The following study focuses on uncovering determinants of international students’s choice of Vietnamese Universities and clarify how much IU can satisfy their requirement.
Liturature Review will provide previous studies of many authors about relevant topic and Research Methodology will show how the researcher can gather primary and secondary data to conduct the study. More importantly, all of the factor in University selection process of IS will be revealed, the drivers in University selection phase will be focus mostly in this study. Consequently, the researcher will find out how much IU can correspond with basic requirement of foreign students. Then, some suggestions and recommendation will be proposed in order to figure out a better path for
IU’s development.
