Financial analysis of Hoa Sen group in comparison with other companies in steel industry : some implications

Abstract

This research provides a general performance of steel industry through the financial analysis of several companies in this sector, which are listed in Ho Chi Minh City stock exchange such as NKG, PHT, DTL and especially HSG. Besides, it may provide us with helpful reliable information in choosing stock to trade among many companies in the stock market. The thesis also gives us some ways or directions to select appropriate stocks in steel industry based on the results of this analysis. Furthermore, through the thesis we could understand more about past performance of HSG, NKG, PHT and DTL in order to support for our investments in the future. If this approach or the method to analyze in this thesis will become useful in making comparison among companies in an industry, I hope it could be applied into another one and be improved by future researches.
