Factors Affecting Genz Addiction To Food Delivery Applications (FDAS) After Covid-19: A Case Study In Ho Chi Minh City
Abstract
The research purpose is to assess the determinants that affect behavioral intention then
the addiction of Gen Z to food delivery applications (FDAs) in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC),
Vietnam. The model proposed and applied as the study's theoretical framework has 8
independent variables (information quality, performance expectancy, effort expectancy,
social influence, hedonic motivation, facilitating conditions, habit, and price value); a
dependent variable (addiction) and a mediating variable (behavioral intention). This study
has developed 9 hypotheses to be examined by using structural equation modeling (SEM).
The questionnaire was provided to 305 Vietnamese respondents in HCMC, and 300 valid
responses were received.
Apart from the removal of factors facilitating conditions, habit, and price value after
SEM testing, this research demonstrated that the behavioral intention then addiction to use
food delivery applications of gen Z after COVID-19 were affected by information quality,
performance expectancy, effort expectancy, hedonic motivation, and social influence. To
sum up, this study had limits, just like all other research, but via the process of gathering
and analyzing data, it nonetheless produced a number of noteworthy recommendations for
the Vietnamese food delivery applications sector and future research in the related field.
