| dc.description.abstract | Recently, the technology transfer and R&D becomes an important issue. They can enhance the growth of enterprises and help them to build up
the facility and human resources in order to meet the international standards. The purpose of this research is to assess technology transfer capability and R&D capability of Vietnamese food enterprises. Basing on a thorough literature review on technology transfer and R&D, the researcher chose four food enterprises to conduct the case studies and the qualitative method is used to analyze the results.
The research results indicate that four food enterprises adopt new technology to expand their business for steady growth. In the technology transfer projects, the value added is concerned with the contribution of technology transfer towards technology capability within enterprises. Four enterprises mostly evaluate their technology transfer effectiveness on three factors. The most important factor is business performance, especially the growth rate, increasing market share, sale revenue and profits of enterprises. There are three factors that four enterprises use to evaluate their own R&D capability. The most important factor is human resource capability, especially R&D managers with high skills, rich in experience, good practices and fulfill in training package (of course, they are proficiency in
