The culture of any organization, although it can be variously defined, includes the shared norms and values that guide organizational participants’ behavior. With the overall purpose of studying the corporate culture of an organization, this thesis used the VNG Corporation, as a case study to examine how corporate cultural influences employees’ behavior within the organization. The model of Geert Hofstede’s four cultural dimensions and the model of Robbins’s six cultural functions were used in this research. The qualitative method was applied and interview questions with eight respondents of VNG were conducted. The respondents were chosen from different age groups (25-30), different hierarchical levels and different departments such as Human Resources department, Financial Department, and IT department. This interview was done using observation analysis. The overall finding is that the employees at VNG Corporation perceive their culture as unique due to its cheerful and friendly atmosphere where everybody feels at ease with their work. The employees have fun working and this is, according to them, the biggest motivating factor. Some conclusions and recommendations were made in order to help the managers as well as workers to have the clearer picture of overall culture within company so that they can perform more effectively.en_US
