The influence of perception of students about online shopping retailers' ethics intention to purchase in Ho Chi Minh city
Abstract
In some last years, online shopping becomes a new and interesting phenomenon in Vietnam. Due to its big advantages for both buyers and sellers, purchasing through the Internet has opportunities to develop more and more in the future. However, there is a barrier which prevents everyone from conducting an online shopping purchasing. It is the deceptive issues from scams. Then, in the real situation, it is proved
by plenty of frauds and they do not know whom they will make a claim for damages. And these issues will lead to the changes in customers’ behavior. Hence, to improve the trust
in the customers’ mind, this research was conducted to measure the influences of perception of students about the online shopping retailers’ ethics. The objectives of this dissertation focus on 2 main issues: (1) To analysis the influence of students’ ethics perspective on their intention to purchase; and (2 ) To make some recommendation about ethical aspects for online shopping retailers to attract more young customers especially students.
Data collected through direct interview with convenient sample of students who study in many universities and colleges in Hochiminh City. Based on CPEOR model (Roman, 2007), the study identified factors of perception about ethical issues and tested the relationship between them with intention to purchase of customers. The finding of this study showed that among factors of perception about ethics, Security and Non- deception were two main determinants of perception have been mainly affected to customers’ intention to purchase. However, the research has not generated the idea of total customers due to marrow research scope.
