In many waste treatments, the anaerobic digestion is considered as a friendly method to environment and to generate the most yield methane. The goal of this study is to investigate the impact of many factors to the anaerobic digestion of municipal solid waste. Moreover, this study presents several runs of experiment and analysis with the aim of shortening the duration of overall stage of digestion process while optimizing the biogas generation with higher methane content. Two temperature conditions (55oC and 37oC), three solid waste-inoculum (S:I) ratios were 1:2, 2:1, 1:1 and five percentages of total solid were 30%, 24%, 18%, 14%, 10% tested for each reactor, respectively. The result indicates that in the thermophilic, 24% with S:I ratio of 1:2, the reactors generate the highest methane yield of 126.97 (mmole/ml) during 30 days. This result could be helpful for municipal solid waste treating in VietNam. Keyword: percentage of total solid (TS), organic carbon (OC), solid-inoculum (S:I) ratio, municipal solid waste, inoculum, methane, mesophilic, thermophilic.en_US
