dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to explore the entrepreneurial motivation among young hospitality people in Ho Chi Minh City. This study applied a qualitative approach in which means-end chain theory, laddering interview technique, narrative (story telling), content analysis were used. A total of 17 face-to-face in-depth interviews were conducted in Ho Chi Minh City where attracted many development and business activities in Vietnam. The target respondents are people who are aged from 18 to 35 years old and who intended to become an entrepreneur in the near future and who were current entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry. The main finding was entrepreneurial motivations among young hospitality people in Vietnam through three elements attributes, consequences and personal values. Last but not least, this study suggested the Government policy to promote the entrepreneurship in hospitality industry in Vietnam, especially in Ho Chi Minh City.en_US
