dc.description.abstract | In the assembly line balancing problem, there are two main objectives. That is to minimize the number of workstations for a given cycle time (SALBP type-1) and minimize cycle time given a number of workstation (SALBP type-2). One of the most important factors of assignment of tasks to workstation is the skill level of workers. With different tasks are required different skill requirement of tasks. This paper presents a mathematical model with skill constraints to solve SALBP-2.The model is implemented on an ALB Solver written in Python language. A sample problem in backpack manufacturing company was carried out.
