A fuzzy goal programming for aggregate production planning: A case study in A Dong Paint Company
Abstract
The paper proposed the new fuzzy goal programming (FGP) for solving aggregate production planning (APP) problem to support decision makers handle goal values in case that are unable to form crisp numbers. In practice, most of the situations decision makers face with their multiple goals by fuzziness parameters and conflicting. To deal with this problem, the proposed model is developed to simultaneously maximize profit, minimize overtime, inventory cost and workforce under a fuzzy environment. A membership function shows degree of truth of variable ranging interval [0,1] that is utilized to represent imprecise data in the goal programming. This paper considers the min-operator to transform the linear fuzzy programming to a crisp programming. This FGP is applied in A Dong paint Company, the results display the effectiveness and efficiency by providing a compromise solution satisfying the conflicting fuzzy goals.
