dc.description.abstractFood safety recently gained a lot of concerns in Vietnam, which urges our government to take actions seriously. One of the pioneer provinces in developing safe agricultural products program is Ho Chi Minh city, and they focus on planting vegetable with VietGAP standard. In this thesis, a case study of supply chain of safe vegetable in Ho Chi Minh city is targeted, since it is the promising model that is suitable to apply national wide. However, within its supply chain remaining several problems that affect negatively to itscomponents such as farmers, co-operatives, supermarkets, etc. Unstable price, ineffective supply chain or bad planning are the main issues this thesis will try to solve. Applying several techniques and models related to price forecasting, network optimization, etc., with the help of tools such as CPLEX, Lingo,...The desired output is to improve the current distribution network and maximize the profit for VietGAP vegetable. The limitation of this thesis is the lack of technical knowledge related toagriculture, time to collect data and some other aspects that should be considered to put into further study.
