Optimization for sewing lines scheduling: A case study of esquel garment manufacturing company
Abstract
For the necessity of the Just In Time environments in garment manufacturing at Esquel Garment Manufacturing Company, which can decrease the storage cost and the penalty cost for overtime orders, this thesis focus on the scheduling for the number of job in multiple uniform parallel sewing lines at Esquel Garment Manufacturing Company. Given the numbers of sewing lines and jobs, the objective is to propose an optimal schedule to minimize the job earliness and tardiness. These penalties could be different for different jobs based on the value and the number of products in each job.
