dc.description.abstract | The aim of this thesis is to apply the genetic algorithm in scheduling the trucks for container transport. The transportation of containers from factories/warehouses to another locations which are defined by customer needs is a complex scheduling problem with constraints such as delivery time of containers, due date at destination location, number of trucks, lead time of company. We consider the problem of minimizing the tardiness over all the containers. Finally, the result of this thesis could suggest an optimal solution for company to satisfy the customer needs.
