dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted in 50 days to evaluate the effectiveness of biofloc in diet of Perinereis nuntia var. brevicirris. Sandworms with initial mean weight of 0.1 g were placed in nine 250-L tanks. This experiment had 3 treatments that were presented for 3 type of diet. Main feed of the first diet was shrimp commercial feed (S), the following was biofloc (B), and the last one contained both type of feed with ratio 50:50. Results showed that the efficiency of using biofloc as feed was not high. Although the survival rate was not different between (P>0.05), the growth had statistically significant different between diets with and without biofloc. Treatment was supplied biofloc alone had lowest weight gain (0.03 ± 0.02 g) and length gain (0.6±0.3 cm). The highest survival rate was from treatment M (77.25%), and the following were S (59.50%) and B (58.50%). However, there was no significant different between other two treatments that had shrimp commercial feed in diets (P>0.05). Keywords: Sand worm, Perinereis nuntia var. brevicirris, biofloc, dieten_US
