Wood-decay fungi produce a wide variety of enzymes including lignin peroxidase (LiP) and manganese peroxidase (MnP). Lignin peroxidase and manganese peroxidase are the most significant ligninolytic enzymes beside laccase. Five native wood decay fungi were used to evaluate, compare MnP, LiP activity among them. Flavodon flavus (Klotzsch), Microporus xanthopus (Fr.), Pleurotus ostreatus (Jacq. ex Fr.), Pycnoporus sanguineus (L), Ganoderma enigmaticum were isolated and cultured in potato broth contained lignin medium in 3 weeks at RT on shaker and sawdust medium in 4 weeks with no daylight, 2 weeks daylight, 60-70% air humidity. Generally, enzyme activities in solid medium were higher than in liquid medium. F. flavus had the highest enzymne activity in both LiP and MnP. While MnP was contained in all substrate filtrates’ species, LiP was not found in M. xanthopus and one type of P. sanguineus. Substrate filtrate of the solid medium contained a higher amount of LiP (10.309% in liquid filtrate and 17.719% in solid filtrate) and MnP (0.246 U/ml in liquid filtrate and 0.453 U/ml in solid filtrate) than others. F. flavus had a fast time growth and the greatest amount of two enzymes produced, which could be applied in further studies about ligninolytic fungi. Key words: Wood-decay fungi, lignin peroxidase, manganese peroxidase, Flavodon flavus, Microporus xanthopus, Pleurotus ostreatus, Pycnoporus sanguineus, Ganoderma enigmaticum.en_US
