Study on anticancer cell and antibacterial activities of different extracts of rhizomes of Curcuma leucorrhiza Roxb
Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate anti-cancer and antibacterial activities of essential oil and extracts of Curcuma leucorrhiza Roxb which is a member of Zingiberaceae family. This medical plant has been used as a traditional medicine - an alternative treatment for ulcer, tumor, and cancer. In this study, essential oil, chloroform and ethyl acetate extracts were the object to test activities against Hela cancer cell and bacterial proliferations (Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa) among many studies about the biological activities such as antioxidant, anticancer, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory to prove its abilities.
