dc.description.abstract | The development of science has been help to reduce most of the cancer which is
a main reason leading to death. Cancer treatment has side affect to organs as ovary, particularly. Ovarian failure is one of several reasons leading to infertility. Accordingly, fertility preservation in female is required. The advances of reproductive technologies have brought fertility preservation feasible for women. There are many methods in fertility preservation. Oocyte cryopreservation, embryo cryopreservation presentedthe high ratio of pregnancy in which many cases were given birth. However, these methods are incompatible with a cycle of cancer treatment of women. Ovarian tissue preservation has known as a developing technique serving in women fertility preservation throughout the world. Its feature in cancer treatment of women is quite simple and always available to carry out. The manipulation of thawed ovarian tissue has broadly given ways to fertilization. Natural fertilization could happen by transplantation of thawed ovarian tissue into the ovary. Alternatively, the oocytes and follicles involving in those tissues may process to in vitromaturation orin vitrofertilization.Vitrification is a favorite procedure in cryopreservation. It is simple and more effective than slow-cooling method. The experiment was proposed to set up a protocol of ovarian tissue vitrification. It was designed to evaluate the viability of mouse follicles isolated from vitrified-thawed ovarian tissue and non-frozen tissue. The total number of oocytes that was viable was comparedin groups of vitrified and fresh samples. There were 504.75 ± 51.95 of fresh group and 499.35 ± 52.29 of the vitrified group. It was approximated
64.58% of viable follicles and oocytes in fresh group and 57.03% of those in thawed group(p = 0.0077). Thestudy on mice ovarian vitrification is a pilot study on ovarian tissue vitrification in Vietnam. The protocol of this study serve as a fundamental process for further study all area which related to ovarian tissue vitrification in Vietnam.
