dc.description.abstract | Logistics in Vietnam is known as a one-sector development industry and contributes significantly to the country's economy. In particular, transportation is always an integral part of logistics. So, the Green Vehicle Routing Problem – the mathematical problem that handles the optimization route for the fleet of vehicle as well the minimization of the emissions, is also a huge concern of every single company related to delivery due to the high price and the bad effect of emissions of fuel on the environment. Traffic jams in rush hours in Vietnam, especially in Ho Chi Minh City, is the main reason that make the transportation cost and the diseases related to respriratory increase.
This purpose of this study is building a model that can solve the multi-objective in the Green Vehicle Routing Problem to minizize the total traveling distance as well the emissions of the fuel with the data of the customers who located in Ho Chi Minh city. Because this is an NP-hard problem so that the “Improved K-means Clustering” will be used to reduce the size of the problem depending on the demand and capacity of the vehicle.
