Agricultural product supply chain case study: Star apple in Chau Thanh, Tien Giang, VietNam
Abstract
The network design problems consists of selecting the facilities to open in order to perform a distribution with minimized costs but still have a high customer service levels. The design problems of supply chains are always difficult because of the relationship with economic, organizational and social sectors. So the design of a powerful and successful logistics network has attracted the rising attention of both industrial and scientific community. Chau Thanh inside Tien Giang province is a big land ideal for growing star apple in Vietnam. But the problem of planning for the production of star apple and the distribution network still got many problems. In this thesis, the application of using Linear Programming in Aggregate Planning and design distribution network is used to propose a new production plan and a new distribution network for Chau Thanh.
