| dc.description.abstract | Many researches have illustrated the importance of planning and scheduling in many stages within production lines, as well as the flexibility when including slack time in processing stages. Meanwhile in some smaller-scale businesses, the term of using scheduling in computing the efficiency when running resources is considerably vague, and artifact is their main approach. This paper observes the situation of a small business and compute the effectiveness when applying scheduling in assigning activities to resources for execution. Based on model of a previous paper about reservation with slack to observe elective sequences, this research investigates an alternative approach and consider the application of heuristics algorithm as a substitute method. Two optimization programs are used in this research so as to execute the effectiveness of model and method.
