Phenolic and flavonoid compounds get more and more attention in recent years due to their valuable benefits for human life based on the antioxidant activity. The idea of using fruit residues as sources of bioactive compounds can bring the benefits come from both economic profits and environmental protection. Among these sources, pomelo peels was proved to contain abundant phenolic and flavonoid content. Thus, this research investigated on the total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), flavonoid compositions and antioxidant activity of three different kinds of pomelo peels: Da Xanh, Nam Roi and Tan Trieu pomelo combining with four extraction methods: Enzyme-assisted method (EAE), Ultrasound-assisted method (UAE), Enzyme-Ultrasound-assisted method (E-UAE) and Ultrasound-Enzyme-assisted method (U-EAE). According to this research, Tan Trieu had highest yields of all the given tests, except Naringin. E-UAE was the most efficient method for extracting TFC, TPC, Naringin, Hesperidin and also had strongest antioxidant activity. In short, Tan Trieu pomelo under extracting by E-UAE method gave the best results in all properties in this study. The raising needs of products in rich of bioactive compounds associating with the increasing economic significance may lead to the development of extraction methods in future. Keywords: pomelo peels, Ultrasound-assisted extraction, Enzyme-assisted extraction, total phenolic content, total flavonoid content, hesperidin, naringin, antioxidant activity.en_US
