dc.description.abstract | To face with the growth of daily demand as well as the increase of the number of apparel manufacturing firms, DM Garment Joint Stock Company needs to improve its production planning and scheduling. This thesis illustrates an integer linear model for the short-term production scheduling in mass customization to help Company DM enhance customer satisfaction. The main idea of this model is allocating customer orders with the various due date and limited capacity to minimize the total cost paying for tardy orders. From analysing the utilization of each production day, the periods for working overtime are suggested so that all received orders are completed before their own due dates. After that, the minimum total completion time needed to finish all the orders is addressed in comparison to the considered planning horizon. To solve this problem, CPLEX optimizer program was obtained to solve the optimization problems with high quality.
